About The Clinician
Lena is a specialised, registered Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner and the clinician behind Al-Olive Branch.
Having grown up in Egypt and moved to Australia at the age of 18, Lena brings lived experience of cultural transition and the challenges of finding belonging in a new environment. These experiences inform her ability to understand behaviour within the broader context of lived experience, relationships, culture, and environment.
Through both human and professional experiences, Lena understands how it can feel to reach a point where trying feels difficult or overwhelming. This insight shapes a compassionate, patient approach, grounded in walking alongside individuals, families, and support networks as they find their own pathways toward healing and stability.
With over seven years of clinical experience across the health, medical, and disability sectors, Lena’s practice is informed by evidence-based, trauma-informed behaviour support and collaborative engagement. Her educational background includes postgraduate qualifications in psychology, an honours degree in Medical Radiation Science, and global qualification as a Taekwondo instructor.
Outside of clinical practice, Lena values time in nature, martial arts, surfing, and ongoing self-education — supporting balance, reflection, and holistic wellbeing.
Lena’s work is guided by integrity, respect, compassion, and a strong commitment to ethical, person-centred practice.
